Description
As a request from a friend, I cleaned this line-art and slapped some fast colors on to it and I also added M(o)ira's stripes, as seen.So this is my character from the Cat Planet Cuties universe :3

Its not supposed to be purple but brownish, like a tabby-cat DX sorry the transparency-settings ruin the colors.

Really?? white?? that'd make her eyes transparent and her skin would look greenish on the DA background.
SAI isn't free though is it and I have failed to crack it DX; I have Open Canvas, but it can't do transparency (meaning, it cannot save files at all)

Looks like you made the bad mistake don't mix the different layers.
You layer sets:
Hair
Skin
Clothes
Eyes
Others
Each with as many layers as you feel good, I use usually 3 for each so around 15
and:

Γ don't use layers for fast colors, it defeats the purpose because to do that, you have to cut around the lines; for fast works, this defeats the purpose. Also, I dun have that division with layers because OC keeps dropping out on me when I exceed a limit :/ which sucks so I gotta focus on a few details at a time and then merge stuff over and over again.
I'll try it again, but see I had a cracked version, cracked SAI just doesn't seem to work well on my comp (even OC doesn't work well on my comp)

I would only use 15-20 layers, depending on how complex the background is, but I end up using over thirty just cause I gotta duplicate them a lot for the effects I like to use :3 (and cause I cannot save with layers so I gotta go back and add stuff to the same stuff over and over.

SAI's max is 256 and I even managed to reach that a few times with my Transarctica drawings

you can change the entire layer for different transparency, Overlay, Screen Multiply, Shade etc modes, large amount of brushes which can be increased by downloading custom ones and so on
