Less than you'd think. Gel pens fill in rather well. The trade is, I go through gel pens like candy because they're like tiny markers >_<

Wait I must be a bit confused- what size is the tip? 0.5cm? Or larger? But I agree they certainly go fast...

Whatever the standard is. I'm not completely saavy with art tool terms/measurements... I just go to Wal-Mart (Or get that 40-color pack from QVC) and grab some.

They're a little thicker than your standard office pen. Probably why they fill in so quickly.

But that's according to the pens I see in France, which usually have their thickness specified. I don't know how pens are displayed in the US so it beats me.
