I just got done readong A Place to be Flying by Charles de Lint and this image reminds me of one of the main characters; people who share animal (mainly birds) blood but take on the image of humans in the world of today.
For all we know he could be feeding his relatives, but walking day to day in his human skin. It certainly would appear to be that way. What a lovely photo, aside from my ramblings about a bok that has no relation to the photo. It is a lovely shot all of its own.

At first glance I thought it was a man holding a plane, when I lookecd at it again it hit me like a ton of bricks. It was much more amazing when I actually took a second glance. The image is powerful and stunning.

I wish I could be this guy. Life would be no more complicated than finding somewhere to sleep each night and finding enough for myself and the birds to eat. Simplicity and bliss in one photo.

The photo is nice compositionally but the man's sunglasses are a huge distraction....and whoever commented below about the mans expression: there really is no expression apparent on his face for the sunglasses and hat render his face fairly neutral. Overall, nice image but nothing incredibly special- - -the power lies in the birds solely for the connection between the man and the birds seems conflicting.
