Night came, Okami walked out onto the foot bridge. Her curiosity had been peaked by the note and necklace she had been slipped earlier that day. She was curious, yet on guard also. Something moved in the shadows, she tensed, ready to attack if necissary.
"Wait, please...I...don't want to hurt you." the voice sounded unsteady, nervous even, she intensed slightly.
"Who are you, and what do you want?" She asked.
"I...my name is Kyūbi...and...I...um..." he took a deep breath. "...I...I love you" he almost whispered those last words.

"...what?" she finally asked, after a long pause.
"I...love you." Kyūbi repeated, he stepped out of the shadows, his cloak drawn back his nine tails swaying gently behind him.
"Wow, he's actually pretty cute" Okami thought. "Um, well...I'm not sure what to say, I mean, I hardly even know you." she said.
"Please, don't say anything, just, let me show you" He said, one of his tails dipping into one of the nine tubes at his side, it traced a butterfly in the air, the outline becoming solid, shimmering with a beautiful green blue light, it fluttered and danced around her, enchanting in its beauty, and as it danced and twirled, she felt something she didn't expect to feel. "I...I think...I think I love him too..." she thought.
"I can give you anything you've ever desired, I can make the winds whisper your name, and the stars cry that you are not among them, just please...let me do something I've wanted to do since I laid eyes on you." He took a step closer, his voice no more than a whisper, she found herself taking a step closer to him, the butterfly dissolved into several fireflies which blinked like starts in the dark. Slowly, and hesitently, he pulled her gently into a kiss, each holding the other in a warm embrace, as the fireflies danced to the tune of the gentle waters of their love.
