...one of ANR's dogs passed away last night, he had cancer which caused his spleen to rupture, and by the time that happened it was too late...

To ANR - He was a great dog from what I hear, and he lived the best 8 years any dog could ever hope for. He loved his family, and they loved him. Even in the end, he knew that all his family loved him very much, even if they weren't there when it happened... I know I can't do him justice in this description, and I'm just repeating what has already been said love, so I'm sorry if this doesn't help. I hope it does though. He's in a better place now, full of ham and squeaky toys and love. Let's not dwell on his death, but remember how he lived, and all the good he did for you and your family, and all the good you did for him. He was a friend, a protector, a source of amusement, a better dog than the world has seen before. He was Loki, and although he is gone physically, he will always be in our hearts and memories.

To everyone else: This is a pretty private piece, so I've disabled comments. I know the drawing's rough, and it's not that good, but I don't care....I would have drawn Loki (the dog's name), but after two attempts I couldn't do him justice on paper. That's all I have to say really.
