Pressed her body to his body,
Laughed; and plunging down

I thought it was a traditional drawing! Doesn't seem a photomanipulation! The colors, the background, her tail... it's all magical and gorgeous. Fantastic

I really love how the blue ocean water reflects off the bottom of the sea and the mermaid's scales. The colors complement each other well.

Oh, this is pretty. I love the colours and the overall composition is good. I'm not an expert on manips but the only thing I can think of that could be done better is to put a low opacity layer of the background colour over some of the fishes all the fishes are equally bright, which makes it look like they're all at the same distance from the viewer but it would create more depth if they were at different distances. Seeing how muted the plants and rocks in the background are with the turquoise, it would only make sense if some of the fishes and other elements appeared to be farther back in the picture aswell.

Critique from thread
I used to do photo manips quite a bit, and I have to say, this is stunning. It's a really nice picture.
However, the only thing I think is out of place are the fish. They seem a little too bright for the picture, and the two fish, the clownfish and Dory (from Finding Nemo ;D) don't seem like they're really swimming. I don't really know how to fix that though... :/
Otherwise, the picture looks great The shadow under the mermaid are very well placed and the lighting is great.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if Dori woke her up. "HellOOOOOOO!"
Lovely sense of depth.
