this has a very interesting juxtaposition of art history. There's the japanese print, and then the figure reminds me a european neoclassical painting (like grand odalesque by ingres).
Was it hard to use the gold leaf?

Thanks! No,the gold leaf was pretty easy and was a great base for transparent layers... the reflective quality is really great for achieving depth and richness.
