Description
Je Suis Glass Joe!THE CHAMPION OF FRANCE!
An ode to the most persistant and probably most loveable character from Punch-Out, Glass Joe.
With a record of 1-99 and being the first person you defeat on the MINOR circuit, you have to wonder why this guy hasn't retired. Or why he's even fighting.
But here's to you, Glass Joe. May you always be there to French up our Boxing Experience.
Thanks to for helping with the shading and for making the background.
There may be more of these, who knows?

Yeah, he seems cute first time round, try saying the same thing when you see him in TD...

Then he suddenly gets trick in Title Defense. Can you imagine Glass Joe actually becomes a decent boxer during that second time around? What's this world coming to?

The sad part is someone actually lost to him and you have to wonder who?

I find it funny that his record is 1-99. The one person that lost to him is a real wimp.

Joe's my favourite boxer in the series, mainly because he's the only one I actually feel sorry for (but Von Kaiser comes pretty close). All of the other characters I enjoy beating down on, but for some reason, I always have the urge to just let Joe win when I fight him...

Nintendo Power's hinted that Joe's win was a freak incident against Nick Bruiser. I guess it makes sense, since Joe's name was comically listed as one of the default best times against Nick Bruiser in Super Punch Out.

ah, glass joe, hes not too frightening, but you gotta worry about him when he comes back in TD mode, he was accually a challenge there, dare i say it

The reason he's still fighting is for one of these three reasons:
1. He's a Jobber: someone in sports who only exists to make the cool people seem cooler.
2. He has a huge fanbase and mentee he doesn't want to let down.
3. His one win was Nick Bruiser.

hahaha, oh Joe. no matter how many times we knock you down, you always come back for more.
Personally, I want to know who that "1" guy who actually lost to Joe is. was it like an infant who crawled into the ring? the world may never know!

According tot he stories, the person that lost to Joe would be Gabby Jay, since Jay was Joe's mentor of some sort.

You've got it backwards. Gabby Jay beat Glass Joe to graduate from his boxing school. Joe's one win was against Nick Bruiser.

No, that can't be right. If it really did happen, then Nick wouldn't be shown with a 0-loss record (until you come in, that is.)
I heard that Joe and Jay actually met in the ring twice, and each one scored their only win that way.

I gotta say, while I walloped Kaiser and Joe without a second thought in the original NES game, the Wii version gave them so much more backstory, I could not help but feel bad whenever I beat the tar out of them.
I just may follow up on this pic.
