Fantastic image!
You've done a great job capturing a soulful, personal portrait. It's sharp and clear, and the color of his eyes beautifully ties in with the colors of the background. Even better, it isn't the typical, face-on smiling portrait, but a candid shot that better captures the spirit of the subject.
What could be improved is simple: He is perhaps a little too well-centered, and it seems as if there is too much negative space on the top of the image, maybe it would be better cropped showing more of the bust and less of the background?
Overall, a great emotive portrait.
