Decaying
Leaving a plethora of grimy patches of dirt

And on the other side
It's been soaked
By torrential rain
Drowning
Exterminating the supposed crisp stalks

So when people resign themselves
Saying the grass is always greener on the other side
It's really just as bad over there
They just want to hope there's something better
Than what they see over here
