Upon seeing this in my messages, I had to see it in full view. What caught my eye is how smooth the camera caught the waves and water. I have always wanted a camera that could do this. This picture is now, one of my favorites on dA.
What I love about it is, again, how smooth everything looks. The color is perfect and the effects the camera had on this photo are amazing. I love the redish color in the rocks, it has a sort of dark look to a very bright photo. This photo has a lovely composition and the blend work is also as lovely. The processing on this photo is, in my opinion, perfect. The details this photo shows makes the scene a dream like look to it, and this photo makes me want to visit this place.
There is nothing, that I can tell from my experience, that I think could be fixed. I would like to see how this would of turned out if there were no clouds in the sky, but this still is an amazing shot.
Great job on this photo!

Bizarre! Looks like sea, water, sand, earth, stone and lava comes together in a same place...

Incredible... what lens were you using with this? I just bought the original 5D, looking for a lens which is beautifully sharp
Great work...

wise choice i'm using the 17-40mm and i use it ~80% of the time, it rocks for what i do(wide scenes) and resolves excellent for a wide angle... if you want sharpness though look at some prime lenses, maybe even start with the 50mm 1.8?

looks like you used blurred motion on the waves-where everything's in focused except for the subject

absolutely stunning shot!!!
my only comment would be the top left corner came out a touch on the dark side in relation to the whole composition. (just 2.2 cents worth).

Was up there the other day... incredible place. Love the look of the water man!
Also love the crispness and the sharpness of the entire shot, what is your sharpening workflow if you don't mind me asking.
