Description Arose early last week for a change to go take some pics.. sunrise didn't really happen due to the clouds on the horizon!

I'd like to re-shoot it standing in the middle of the path next time... this is another iconic part of where i live, Port Macquarie, Australia.

At first I thought this was taken on the rock wall at Nambucca, looks so similar. Nicely done

I like this a bunch.

The colours and view are neat.

I think it's a little too distorted with the bendy yellow line on the right. If it were me, I might transform>warp it into something less curvy in Photoshop. But if I were still me, I might be lazy still.

I think your positioning is just fine though, and the overall picture is great. I mean, I added it to my favourites and all.

It looks neat. I feel like there's a positive change (though I don't remember exactly what it looked like).

When stitching (especially with wide-angle lenses), the warp tool can be a great friend. It can't fix everything, but does what it can.

Your other photos are good by the way.

It's fine as it is, but I suppose a re-shoot (possibly with a blazing sunrise) wouldn't hurt

I llike it as is Cain. I wouldn't have thought of panoing such a pointed subject but its worked really well. The painted colours stand out just great.

Sun-Seeker In reply to CainPascoe [2009-02-04 05:24:58 +0000 UTC]

what gets me is the people that say this is a 14 image stitch... one day I will have to ask WTF?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CainPascoe In reply to Sun-Seeker [2009-02-04 06:58:40 +0000 UTC]

Like WTF - why did you do that?
Or WTF - how did you do that?
Or WTF - who does that honestly?

Same people are doing freaking rows and columns of images.. i thought i was crazy doing vertical

Sun-Seeker In reply to CainPascoe [2009-02-04 07:59:25 +0000 UTC]

I can see how you need 14 images for a pano... maybe they take 7 along the bottom and 7 along the sky?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

CainPascoe In reply to Sun-Seeker [2009-02-04 10:01:05 +0000 UTC]

Yeah i guess it would be ok with a longer focal length, like 50mm, where you would get very little to no distortion(making it easier to stitch).. nothing like my 10mm anyway
