I tried to use your great tutorial to get "god's rays" but no matter what, all i got was atmosphere but no ray. I'll download your scene and take a look at it

NiceΒ dusty atmosphere and light effectsΒ (God rays, discrete bloom effect) and nice camera D.O.F. effect. These 'tricks' really make the render to stand out !

I tried to get ou t of my "comfort zone".Β I usually don't do scenes like that , i mostly do portraits, close up etc... I was afraid an empty scene would look too... empty.
I tried to add a character in the scene but it didn't fit at all, no matter what. so i thought it would better without anyone but the plants who become the character itself.
