I'm so in love with Daz new IRAY renderer...This one rendered AT THIS SIZE in around 15 minutes... i just made a color correction on Photoshop and that's it.

15 Minutes? Lucky. I use a mac, and it would take over an hour for a render like that. Impossible to find a computer that has an NVIDIA graphics card!

this was actually rendered on a mac pro, with GtX 780 inside.

My Mac is crap lol they want 6400 bucks fro the newest version with NVIDIA card.. they can keep it.Β

i'm on a 2010 mac pro so it's not that new. been upgraded to 5,1 and Nvidia card.
A good rendering machine should not be that expansive, unless it's a production machine you use 24/7

Thank you. Yes it's inside Studio. You can choose to render in 3delight or in IRay. Viewport can also be seen in Iray. No need to say a good nvidia graphic card is a bonus (if not, Iray uses the Cpu(s) to render...)

well,...my render-machine is just a laptop-workstation (a rather powerful one though) and it only has a "nvidia quadro K3000M" build in.
But I'll try anyway

Man can not wait to test it out... Got so fed up and disappointed with Luxrender after my brand new 5930k still took 20hours for a still unfinished 1600x2500pixel render of one gen2 and a simplistic BG T_T Too bad I'm Β allergic to beta testing and will wait for the final release. But jeez, I'm so so pumped! Such a great move by Daz3d, and it even works on CPU if your card gets OOM : DΒ

yeah. I have quite a powerful machine but luxrender is way too long and as it's outside the program you have to pack things, export and wait, and ho no, i forgot this tiny material.... Go back pack, export, wait, repeat.
This one is inside Studio and it's even inside the viewport while you work!!!!

Yep. Only thing left is for Daz3d to release some truly iray optimized shaders instead of the current placeholder. Would laugh if they actually sell them like "Victoria 6 Iray HD delux skin -> 19$" ^^'

Yeah I'm loving the new Iray. You must have a pretty sweet setup though. Mine isn't bad but it takes a little longer to render. I'm still learning about all that it can do though.Β

could be... My last machine lasted for 7 years before i gave it to my husband as his new daily machine (internet, mails, some gaming etc). I have the new one for 6 months and expect it to last...Β
This is also why i bought mac, it's expensive, but it lasts

They do last. I'm just no good with them haha. I'm sitting at 2 years now with this computer. My processor is only a few months old. I need to get a video card with more cuda cores.Β
