Sooo as promised, redraw of the 1988 series Splinter.

This one..?

Honestly didn’t have much to tweak here. This Splinter aside from the 2012 series was the one that looked the most like a normal rat does.

What i didn’t like?

-Fixed the teeth, they looked weird when so many were visible.

In rats, usually only the incisors show, the molars are rather flat and tucked away.

-What even ARE those lines they drew on top of his muzzle? Idk if it was supposed to indicate that he’s old or dirty and his fur just stuck together, but I really don’t like when that design is used.

-nose. once more, idk why people insist on making the nose so slanted in rats,i don’t really mind that much if it sticks out, Ratatouille pulled it out just fine. But what’s with that slant? Stop breaking a rats face omg.

-the legs, meh not much changed here, basically mae them a bit longer and more slender, made the claws more subtle and less bulky and got rid of the monkey finger markings. Once more wtf.

-tail? Yep. When rats age, they get aging spots on their tails, much like old people got those brown markings on their skin.

Perhaps if i made his ears droopier and his posture more hunched he’d look more like an old rat. But in rats, age doesn’t show that much in looks unless you know what to look for.
