You've never watched one of those shows about big robots like anime or something where all the robots come together to make a larger robot? Voltron and Power Rangers did it, and occasionally Transformers did it also. Just google "Power rangers megazord". Several different robots obviously come together to make that.

So you need to know what American and Japanese kids were watching on TV.
And Power Rangers is still on the air, in new forms because they keep making updates and iterations so there's new powers and settings and stuff..Β
I went to go pick a really good classic Megazord fight scene I could recommend for you to watch, and I found one so good I don't even remember any episodes that over-stimulatingly amazing when I was a watching the show as a kid.

Oh, and I had wanted so say something about the five-robot aspect. There was so much transformation going on that they didn't have time to show the main one! The one where they use the "dinozords" to build The Megazord. Up to that point in the video where the really robotic voice said "Megazord sequence initiated. Activated" and that weird "prehistoric" symbol appears is the part where the robots would normally do a shortened version of THIS instead
And that's entertainment. Or at least, it was, for boys.
Do they show shows like that in Australia that I would have wished I had watched as a boy?

Not sure.... Might have, but I wasn't alive or can't remember old shows like them if they ever did show them. They shows like Boobah and Teletubbies... but really nothing like that. Maybe? Except really old transformers that i've never seen in my life until like last year lol.Β
