Anthropomorphic mushrooms!
The painting "we are toadstools". the expression of these fungs may be as "don't eat us!"
I post the fragment, because faces there are bigger and the image doesn't contain unnecessery details.
they can't hide from forester so they try to argue that they are not edible and if they will proove this he will not cut them out for soup
