I love how the scene plays with light and dark. The dragon is a really nice background focal point among all those dark clouds. I know many people are saying those kids are doomed (with two monsters surrounding them), but I like to think that the dragonβs going to be snacking on some octopus.

I was initially going to say there was a mistake, in that the girl's eyes are neither focused on the tentacles nor the dragon. She seems to be disregarding that her teddy is being ripped. Then I took it to mean that she sees something else coming that is so sinister that it makes both the tentacles and the dragon an after-thought.
Very nice piece. I would love to have this hanging on my wall.

In the original version there were more monsters and evil but i suppose that's harder to grasp in this cuter version, so i should probably change here eyes, but then there are the few, like you, who get the idea so it makes me want to keep it the same

Yes, this was my first thought too... I watch too many monster-movies... But there are rules for monster-movies too, and rule No. 496 says: "Pets and Kids always survive". You can't always count on this rules (See Roger Cormans "Dinocroc"), but in the most cases being a pet or kid in a monster-movie is a well life-insurance
