Personally I like the detail you put into the backgrounds. Especially the clouds, they're amazing!

The dragon is way too far away to save the kids. I think it adds a nice element to the hopeless feel, to have rescue so close, but too late. <3

The scariest part is that she is _not_ looking at the tentacles, but at something else. So there is implied something even worse just off screen and the boy is looking the wrong way.
I hope they can save teddy.

i really like this image! one could create a wonderful short story so easily based on the elements of the painting.

Still gloomy given the deep shadows that dominate the right side of the picture. At first I was kinda mum about the intensity of the yellow highlighting on the boy (part of me wonders how it would look like if the whole picture were set in overcast, rather than the 3/4 here), but I think it works out in the end and brings just enough liveliness. The little girl's expression is capturing.

I wish the tentacles were a bit more detailed and idk if its just my screen... or does there seem to be fine groups of lines, much like fingerprints around some of the clouds/parts of sky??
