Through the Valley, another attempt to work in PS. I managed to get a few things figured out using PS this time, and one of which is to get a more "Paint" kinda look to it... granted Rainbow Dash could have been more "painted", but I had a hard time trying to get that done with this one without it looking really terrible! XD I'll keep on practicing that until I get the hang of it! ^^I hope you guys enjoy this piece, I did the best I could do on it, and now I'm just hoping it turned out all right for ya!
I did use some custom brushes which were from: readheadstock

I love how it is windy! And there is just an apple tree in the background! The meadow is unbelievable! And there is just a stop to a little river in the streams! Thank you, I do my best to give that feeling of depth and space, as well as keeping the lighting as spot on as I can. I'm glad that you find that it turned out alright, I wasn't sure some of the time if it was coming out good or not, so hearing you say that makes me feel better about it, thanks!

Don't let colors stress ya out, you'll do great, just enjoy the work process and everything will be fine! ^^ We all make mistakes in our drawings and paintings, but that's where we learn the most, and a lot of the time you can find ways to make mistakes into happy accidents, and those add a ton of character to your work! I look forward to checking out your Luna picture when it's done, I'm sure it'll be awesome!

Luna's color scheme is pretty much composed of blues and purples, and I believe you can add black in there if you want, for certain things like her cutiemark and her chestplate... though some of that depends on what "age" your going for. Here are a few links that I found that could help you, and don't worry about the numbers that you see on the side, that's just to help digital artists who want to get the color as accurate as possible.

Here is the link to the one that most people think of when they think of Princess Luna: hokutto.deviantart.com/art/Pri⦠(btw, don't worry about the 50% opacity, that's also for digital artists, basically it just means that the color is transparent, so the colors behind it are a bit visible... essentially it's the "ghost" effect of Luna's hair.

I hope that helps ya a bit, just do your best and find the colors that matches as closely as the colors on the guide, and you should be alright, even if it's not exact, you're drawing should be alright!
