Description
I decided to do another Pokemon fanart piece, and this time I felt inspired to create a painting of Pikachu. I didn’t really look up any references for mice or really any rodent for that matter when I was designing him, and honestly the point of reference that I had in my mind was my cat Shadow, I found myself thinking of my cat when I was designing the face of Pikachu, and that’s how I came up with this particular look. The background was a mix of my love for night time scenes, but I also wanted something that had a particular vibe to it, and honestly it was a nostalgic theme that I had in the back of my mind when I was working on this and wanted that to come through in this piece as much as I was able to.

I’ll probably do Raichu/Pichu next, but I haven’t completely decided yet, I do know that I definitely want to do another Pokemon painting, so I’ll probably get to work on that tonight.

Hope you guys like how this turned out, and in case anyone might be wondering, this piece was made in Procreate/Lightroom, and the total duration of time it took to complete was around 8-10 hours I believe.
