Been working on this piece on and off for a few weeks now, and decided that I’d go ahead and show you guys what I’ve been working on. (This is just one out of many other things I’ve been working on for the last while). I wanted to explore creating motion in my work since I’ve noticed that most of my pieces tend to have this “static” look to them where essentially most of my characters are in a still position, and that’s kind of boring to do over and over, so I wanted to try something outside of my comfort zone and create something with different moving parts. I am also pushing myself in that I never really do indoor scenes, and to complicate things further, I wanted to have an open window in the scene to let some “natural” lighting in.

Haha, don’t ask me what exactly this scene is meant to be, I’m leaving that up to you the viewer. I personally wanted to create something that I felt looked fun, and that’s the vibe I was simply aiming for, along with a sense of oddity (because I love odd things). The other thing that I am doing (which you really should never do) is that I left the sketch as it was, no refining, because I wanted to explore the possibilities of what this piece could be through the painting process. I love spontaneity, and that’s really what this piece has been since the start, and I look forward to seeing how it’ll look once completed.

I hope that you guys enjoy how this is coming along, and I’d love to hear your thoughts on it, do you like it or hate it, and what sort of vibe do you get when looking at it.
