Thanks for the kind words The edit isn't bad, certainly the face is a good fit for the pic and I love the captured moment of Mike's dismay but the contrast setting should be amped a bit and I would add a little transparency to the added face in order to help blend it in while also reducing the brightness a bit (it's important to uniformly blank out the smokebox door for this though, or else the bright bits will show through).

I am unsure how you do yours but unless I have to I always crop steam engine faces with the elliptical tool on Preview after I have taken a screenshot/scan of the desired image. With 3/4 angle faces it is more tricky but I try to shave off the surrounding areas a bit at a time and then finally if something like the nose or a cheek is sticking out I have to do that area free style. It's a little tricky to explain in just text form but I did a basic tutorial of my method for ToyFredd if it's of interest.
