When he was unveiled, I was like "Really Mattel?? The Schienenzeppelin?? Just because it looks odd doesn't mean it HAS to be a character for the show." But then again, I'm judging before watching, I'll wait to see how they flesh him out later in the season.

At least when they chose the international engines for TGR, they at least did research on what would be the best representation for each country (though I still wish the didn't say Vinnie was from "North America", just say he's from Canada pls). And also it's reassuring that Season 20, which Hugo debuts in, takes place between SLOTLT and TGR, so hopefully by Season 21, they will realize how popular the international engines have been this past year with the fans and at the very least bring a few back for an episode or two like they have with the Thomas Creator Collective, and more importantly, focus a few or more episodes on Gordon and Flying Scotsman's sibling rivalry.
