The Promo Poster for Shadows of Evergreen, which is a short story in Shameless...Pictured are the 2 characters from the short story... Mikiru and Kasai. Mikiru is the mortal boy who ends up getting Kasai, a vampire, for a pet in exchange for his blood and soul. Nice, huh? ~____~ Silly mortal.
Done on A3 640gms watercolour paper with watercolour paints and a size 2 brush , scanned and edited in PhotoShop CS.
"Shameless" is a joint project between and myself. Credit goes to for the "Shameless" logo (she designed it herself!).
Poster will be on display at Animania 2004 [link] and prints of it will probably be for sale there as well. If anyone is interested in a print of this, and is attending Animania 2004, please let me know (and what size you would like it in as well - A4 or A3) and I will take the numbers into account when I make the prints... because right now, I would probably only make 3 copies (1 of A3, 2 of A4) of this at the most. Probably less because I'm doubtful it'll sell... being an original artwork and somewhat sucky, even if shounen ai is written all over it and it's aimed at yaoi fangirls... ~_~

I really like the hair on both of them, and the way you did the bite marks on Mikiru's neck. I also have a thing for vampires, so Kasai is spiffy cool too. Nice outfits by the way.

ok... I quote from my artists comments for this picture: "Pictured are the 2 characters from the short story... Mikiru and Kasai. Mikiru is the mortal boy who ends up getting Kasai, a vampire, for a pet in exchange for his blood and soul." Thus "that zombie dood" is a vampire, who is licking BLOOD from the other boy's wrist. I might not be a great artist, but anyone with half a brain can discern that what's depicted is a vampire and not some "zombie dood". I would appreicate it if the comments left were a little more thoughtful and less insulting, considering how much effort and time was put into a picture like this.

Watercolor! Amazing textures! i lov ehte cape. The trees in the background are really nice. Interesting take for using read when it's about Evergreens. Smex. I like how you colored the skin.

It's supposed to be irony. Also, Evergreen is supposed to be taken more as a concept. Ever for eternal, and green for youth. So Shadows of Evergreen would signify that even with everlasting youth, things are never as they seem.
