((Here he is~! Mr. Tall himself. xD Seriously, I made him like a giant. If he's bigger than Gaster, then he's a giant! Only necessary since he works in a huge library. He loves cataloging things in his every day life (mostly the things he deems important) and reading as many tomes and papers he can get his hands on. He's very smart, but aloof and cold. But he's not a monster, people. He still has feelings, but with what he's been through on the surface, he'd much rather bottle them up for fear of getting hurt again. He has major trust issues, but the one person he trusts the most in the entirety of the planet is his family, especially his biggest sister, Calibri. She's basically the mother figure of the family, so of course he goes to her the most.Also, Consolas thinks she can do better. Gaster is not amused...
Edit: He is 8 feet and 5 inches tall... :I ))

((I've...had these things since I was 11. After a while, I just got so tired of feeling like this. I just kinda reached a point and actually studied up on it. And yeah, at first I wasn't really a fan of such a thing. Honestly, I want to go there for clarification. To let it really sink in that there are people here and near me that have experienced what I had. To know that I'm not really alone. My therapist said I didn't have to say anything if I didn't feel like it. And I'm glad for that, because knowing me sharing aloud what I'm feeling is difficult. But I know that maybe with time and getting to know them that I'll pull the courage to actually share. Besides, I'm kinda the one who really wanted this. I'm just tired of feeling miserable for myself. I still feel it, but I want to be better in the end. 
Papyrus froze when he noticed what his father was doing and he narrowed his eye sockets. It was the same look his mother even had when Gaster or Sans began a joke in some form or fashion. They've both lived with this for far too long. "......PLEASE DON'T MAKE ME ASK WHO IS THERE, FATHER." But he did with just saying it in the sentence. Silly Papyrus, he has yet to learn the ways of the humor turn down like Calibri knew how to do. She would have just said, "come in!". It stumped Gaster and Sans every time.
When the man stood there for a while longer, his smile still in place, Papyrus sighed and sent his father a grin. He honestly loved his family's odd humor about themselves. It's what made them...well, a family~ "WHO'S THERE?"

Gaster just grinned wider, his dorky lopsided grin very evident. He snorted to suppress laughter as his hands were held up again to his son. "Atch." When Papyrus answered back with an 'atch who', his grin somehow managed to get even wider. "Oh, bless you." The scientist chuckled, making his way into the room. "I just wanted to tell you that... well... your mother and I decided that it would be safer if we were to take a vacation right now rather than just moving up to the surface. It'll be nice to play tourist for a bit, don't you think?" He questioned, tilting his head. "You shouldn't pack your entire room. Only pack what you need, alright?"

((After dealing with this for years, I just kinda wanted to better myself. I do like sleep, but I don't like the feeling I get when I know people want me out of the bed. I feel bad. xP ))
Papyrus had been ready to do his usual groan and glare, all with a wide grin that usually came with those two, but he stopped all together when his father signed the rest of his sentence to him. Papyrus had looked just a bit crestfallen for not being able to move up above with his friends, but he quickly smiled. He supposed this could still work. He could spend time with them, maybe see this beach Undyne liked to talk about. He probably wouldn't get his red sports car, but that could wait! For now he should probably just pack up what he needed for a small vacation.
"OH...WELL THAT'S ALRIGHT! SO LONG AS I'M WITH EVERYONE AGAIN, THEN IT'S FINE. ANYWAYS, HOW LONG WILL WE BE STAYING UP THE SURFACE? WILL WE HAVE A PLACE TO STAY? I HOPE THEY HAVE RESTAURANTS WITH SPAGHETTI~!" Of course, none of those places made spaghetti as great as the Great Papyrus' pasta~

"We will be staying on the surface for a week. Pack light." Gaster signed, smiling weakly. "Sorry to disappoint you. Would you mind just remaining patient for me just for a little while longer, Papyrus? I'm just a little hesitant right now, but if all goes well, we will be able to move up there soon." The scientist showed him a more reassuring smile now. "It will be just fun for now. Just to relax. I was going to get us into a hotel for the time being. I have money saved up from my job, so it shouldn't be a problem to do that."

Papyrus hummed a bit as he nodded. "VERY WELL. I SHALL PACK ALL THE NECESSITIES. YOU JUST FOCUS ON FUN! UNDYNE HAS ALREADY TOLD ME ABOUT SO MANY WONDERFUL PLACES~! EVEN METTATON, SO I'LL TELL YOU ALL THE FUN PLACES AND YOU AND MOTHER WILL FIND IT....MOSTLY BECAUSE I KNOW LITTLE IF THE WORLD ABOVE..." he murmured (tried to) to himself.
"BUT GO PACK! I MUST GET SANS READY AS WELL. HE'LL NEED HIS BEST THINGS IF WE'RE GOING UP FOR A SHORT TIME INSTEAD~"

"Okay, Papyrus. Thank you for understanding. I will see you soon." Gaster smiled, heading away from the taller skeleton and over towards his room. He walked inside and headed for his drawers, opening them up and beginning to take clothes out. He put some sweaters into the suitcase, and then some dress pants, like he always wore.

Looking towards his things, Calibri hummed a bit in thought. "....We'll need to buy a swimsuit when we get up there! For all of us," she pointed out while pretty much finishing up her packing. She put the suitcase aside and smiled as she turned to get ready for bed. No doubt they all would get up early in the morning to get everything settled. By the time they checked into a hotel, it would be the middle of the day and they could all spend time together sight seeing and planning out where they wanted to go. The one thing Calibri wanted to do was visit all of her siblings. That and go to that library Consolas told her about. He looked really excited to have her come by...even though he just gave her a small smile. But that was rare, so Calibri assumed it was excitement!
"But other than that, we're all going to have the best time up there~! You'll see, sweetie, everything will be just fine."

"A swimsuit? But... But bones aren't buoyant. Is that really safe?" Gaster questioned, fussing with his hands. "You, Sans, and Papyrus will have to stay in the shallow end." He always took precautions no matter what. Taking off his coat, he hung it up in the closet and walked towards the restroom to get ready. Then, he brushed his teeth and changed into his pajamas. Once that was done, the scientist made his way to the bed, laying back on it and staring at the ceiling for a few brief moments.
Consolas' words really got to him.
... Oh well. There was only one thing to do. To prove that man wrong. He would show him just how fit he was to be with Calibri tomorrow. Gaster turned to the side. "Good night, Calibri. We have a big day tomorrow. Try to get some rest, okay? I don't want you up all night like Papyrus has a tendency to do."

"I know, but I can't help it~!" she squealed softly while getting herself in a proper night gown. She brushed her teeth, removed her flower clip and placed it aside on her side of the bed before snuggling right up into Gaster's side, practically purring at his warmth. "And I want the swimsuit because it's necessary for a beach environment! Papyrus would agree with it," she huffed a bit before smiling a little bit, her eye sockets curious. "...I wonder how you would look in swimming trunks." She was actually curious as she tried to envision it. "Oh! We should get ones with atoms on it. It will fit just perfectly for you~" she giggled just once more before resting her head on his chest.
"I can't wait, Wing. You're going to just love the Surface~" And like that, she instantly fell asleep, her eye lashes placed gently onto her cheekbones.

Gaster's face flushed. "Ah, that's right. I'm pretty conservative- that's the reason that I haven't worn anything like that. I suppose if we go swimming, I will give it a try, though." He chuckled. "And I think I'd like the ones with atoms on them as well." He closed his eyes, pulling the covers over himself. He was careful not to cover Calibri when he did so, only bringing the blankets up to the lower part of his chest. Then, the scientist wrapped his arm around her shoulder, pulling her close as he began to fall asleep.

When the alarm went off that morning, Calibri shot up in bed and rushed to get some clothes before heading towards the shower. Papyrus, like a dog, shot up at the sound of his mother's movements and he was soon joining her on getting ready. He decided to make breakfast (a bad thing for him to do alone), since his mother was using the shower first. The loud clutter of pots and pans surely should have woken up the last remaining monsters in the home. The last two, non-morning birds of the Skelefamily.
From down the hall, Gaster could probably hear his wife already singing in the shower. Another typical day, it seemed. But the positive energy was in the air. They were excited for this trip. Very excited.

Gaster yawned when he heard all of the commotion, getting up from bed and stretching out a little. He stood up and began getting dressed, having showered the evening of the previous day. Once he got dressed and ready for the day, he continued packing up some last minute things. Then, he zipped up his suitcase and brought his and his wife's down toward the front door. It took another trip up the stairs, but he also brought Papyrus and Sans' suitcases as well, the shortest skeleton slowly, but surely, rolling out of bed with a whole lot of effort.

When she was all fresh and clean, she dressed up in a pretty new sundress she had bought from the Shop in town and practically jumped down the entirety of the stairs before giving her husband a kiss on the cheek. "Good morning, sweetie~! Today is the day~!" she exclaimed before her attention was brought to the kitchen. This woman was practically skipping and twirling around like a ballerina, just so happy and bright like the sun. She must have been waiting for this day for heaven knew how long. Actually, Gaster probably knew since Calibri had been homesick for the longest time while living Underground.
Walking into the kitchen, Calibri went and helped Papyrus out with breakfast. No more breakfast spaghetti, since Calibri said it really wasn't a breakfast food. Now he was learning to make pancakes and waffles. It was still a work in progress, but he was passionate and determined. Calibri admired that in her youngest son. It made her proud~

Gaster smiled at her. "Today's the day." He agreed before heading into the kitchen with her and returning her affection with a kiss to the cheek. He then began helping out by setting up the table and making sure everything was in place. He folded the napkins so neatly and set everything up perfectly (trust me, if this guy had a ruler, he'd even measure where the silverware would go).
Sans was the last one to clamber down the staircase, letting out a loud yawn. He still wore his pajamas, a simple white tank top and some annoying dog boxers. "Mornin'." He murmured, seeing everyone moving around. "Need help with anything?" He questioned, stepping into the kitchen with the rest of them. Sans had been to the surface before when the barrier was broken, but it was a nice thought that they could be moving up there for real very soon. He still had circles under his eyes, but his grin was a touch more genuine. He was actually excited about all of this.

"Good morning, sweetie~!" Calibri exclaimed as she came over to kiss the top of her son's head. She moved out of the way so he could go and take a seat at the table. "So, your father and I talked a bit and we're not going to be moving to the surface...yet! I still want to, but you're father needs time. He's lived in the mountain almost all of his life, so I suppose I could understand why getting out would be a bit of a struggle. Still, we're going to be going up for a small vacation! So he can see how much different things are compared to the War years." She smiled as she went back over to Papyrus to help him out.
"YES! I SENT A TEXT TO UNDYNE THIS MORNING AND SHE ALREADY PREPARED MANY TRAINING ACTIVITIES AND TRIPS FOR US. ALPHYS EVEN WANTS TO SHOW OF SOME SCIENCY DOODADS WITH YOU, SANS. AND FATHER COULD JOIN IN IF HE WISHED. FRISK EVEN WANTS US TO VISIT! THE QUEEN WILL BE PREPARING A BIG FEAST FOR US TONIGHT IF WE GO OVER THERE."
"Really?! Oh, that sounds so lovely. I'll need to bake my special brownies for the occasion~! The special marshmallow and chocolate chip kind that you boys used to scarf down. Remember, Sans? Wing?" she laughed, recalling it like it was yesterday. They both got sick the next day. Heheh, sillies.

"Aheh, I remember that. Those brownies would have been the death of me if there were any more of them" Gaster continued to set the table, nodding a few times. "Yes, even going up on the surface for a day gives me chills, but... I agree to do it since all of you are so determined to get up there." He really just wanted to prove himself to Consolas. Gaster ain't no chicken, that's for sure! He smiled silently to himself as he finished setting the table. "I have everything packed up, and as long as you all do as well, we can head up there after breakfast. How does that sound" The scientist questioned, peering up from the table.
"Sounds great, pops." Sans replied, sitting down at the table and looking over at Papyrus. "Alph? Sure, sure. I'll go ahead and do that-- and I'm sure pops would wanna do it too."
"Ah, don't forget, we have to visit Consolas to see his library too." Gaster quickly pointed out, holding up his pointer finger. "I wouldn't want to disappoint him by not showing up when he personally invited us."

Calibri smiled and finished up making breakfast with Papyrus. He had his usual breakfast spaghetti. He gave everyone a side of it while Calibri made her favorite pancakes with syrup and whipped cream on the side. And even honey. She preferred the berry and whipped cream route and went for that as she dug right in. She hummed happily as she ate, her soul the lightest it's ever been. She was going to shop SO MUCH while she was up there!
Mostly because the gold and jewels they had here were worth a LOT more up on the Surface. The King and Queen were pretty rich so it wouldn't surprise Calibri if those two were practically millionaires at this point. Calibri knew she had some spare cash stowed away somewhere in this very house. She just hoped Gaster or Sans didn't find it and use it. But if they did...well, she knew it would be for an emergency. She respected that if that were the case. If not, well...guess that meant they were pretty dirt poor. She hoped it was still there. She really wanted to buy all the cool new outfits or thingamabobs up there!
She was literally the equivalent of Ariel from the Little Mermaid when it came to new things...

((3:50 here. XP I'm watching a detective show, it's hard to sleep. And I was going to make her a personal trainer since in Undertale the Bravery soul had gloves and the manly bandana. So an obvious fighter, basically. Patience will be a babysitter too. It's just Integrity I'm having an issue with. XP ))
