Late at night, when no one is looking...

Mercy Phillips dons her most stretchy 80's aerobic outfit and stalks the street, pretending she's Catwoman, collecting all the little cats around town, bringing them home with her so that she may have an endless collection of them.

Or...something. Like, perhaps, walking into the middle of Batman crime fighting and then having Batman completely freak out on her. (LULZ CHRISTIAN BALE NEEDS A PLZ ACCOUNT NAO! But we DO know that Christian Bale plz would be no match for.... )

Anyway.

I wanted to draw fun outfits, lots of hair, and practice some anatomy, so who better then to do that with then with Mercy, who has fun outfits, big hair, and...um...anatomy? So yes, I went ahead and drew Mercy XD Admittedly, she's most fun to draw, however I can't decide if its because she's really weird, or if it's her hair, or if it's because I love her overexaggerated everything. She's just all kinds of flexible, and I find her cat obsession most amusing. So here we have Mercy, posing in what seems to be either an 80's leotard *insert Flashdance music here*, or some kind of super hero catsuit, or really just something she wears on a regular basis, topped off with a red belt (because red and black look great together) and a necklace that matches her makeup XD

Like a good portion of my pictures, this was actually an anatomy practice, and I actually really like how it came out XD I'm not too sure about her arms, of course, altho I don't think they look bad, probably just too small again like always. And once again I have another female character who is much more hotter then me. With perfect breasts. And looks better in everything.

Anyway, as per usual, the background was done with watercolours... I haven't used regular watercolours for a very very long time, so I thought I'd whip them out again recently and start using them more for my backgrounds again I love the way they blend together - sometimes watercolour pencils don't always blend properly but with watercolours you just dab them on and there you go. I didn't do what I have been doing iwth my backgrounds, where I dot the background like you would with a bingo marker thingie (....OH...OMG...I...I just totally, totally, TOTALLY GOT THE MOST AWESOME ART IDEA EVAR! XD) , but I just took random colours and blended them. I used a lot of pinks and peaches because most of my backgrounds always end up looking too blue (da ba dee da ba diiiiiiii....), so I wanted to avoid that by just using pinks and reds and stuff. Theres still some purple there, but it's all good.

Altho, the outfit was supposed to be skintight... the folds tell us otherwise. But then again you all know how obsessed I am with folding clothes. XD They're just too much fun to draw XD (Sorta a pain in the ass to colour sometimes tho.)

Anyway, I really like how this one came out I LOVE her hair, but DAMMIT it is such a pain in the ass to ink... But I'm glad to have a character with more long hair, since a good portion of my characters have shoulder length hair or shorter so...yes. EPICALLY LARGE HAIR IS GOOD.

She seriously does look crazy tho. Seriously.

I want her glasses so bad! If I had glasses like hers I'd wear them all the time. And perhaps, also, pretend I was a cat too. *pats you annoyingly with her hand on your nose at 5 in the morning like cats like to do* Meooowww! *stares at you close to your face*

This picture reminds me of the eighties. And you all know what THAT means......

(They really need a Safety Dance icon. In the meantime tho, this will do: Pretend thats a midget or something. And for those of you who have no idea what I'm talking about, watch this: [link] )
