Now that was quite the style experiment. I actually started something completely different at first, but since that would've been without the palette challenge and I really really wanted to do the palette challenge, I completely scrapped my first idea and started this one. To be honest, I had a really difficult time to incorporate the color palette without straying to far away from it, so I did this cutout style and only added some basic shading to stay as true to the color palette as possible.Personally, I really like how this turned out, I'm not quite sure why, but I really like the texture this has.
I've also written quite a big story about this part because this event is actually going to be a big part of 2030's (the left one) character development and I couldn't fully portray that through the drawing.

TLDR: They fixed the shrine. Also 2030 got a super cute albino hummingbird familiar.

Ahhh I know I already told you this but it is so fun and exciting to see you try new things! You used the palette really really well in this, which can be tricky as heck to do. The cutout quality of it is very playful and I love how you used a wide format - it helps give it a really nice narrative quality. Excited to see how their adventure continues!

i LOVE how you've interpreted the colour schemes!!
Violet is still so recognisable even in a completely different palette <33 and the longer i look the more subtle details stand out, how do u do that?? o.O

Oh man, Cal, I love how you did the style for this one! Seeing palettes is one of my favorite parts of the events, so I'm super glad that you decided to go with it. ;v; (even if it did mean putting in the extra effort!) I think the style that you chose for this one really pulled off, especially in the way it makes the Esk look! 
I'm really digging how you did the scale in this picture! Especially with the silhouettes of the leaves/sticks! It really helps pull you into the picture, and make it seem like we're peering through the trees to look at the Esk. ;v; I also love how you did the shrine/token! I always love seeing people's takes on it, and I absolutely love that you incorporated the birdy look to it. ;v; It's all just so pretty! Lovely job!
