well if his energy meter ran out, as I assume it did, then he wouldn't really have a choice, would he? Also, I just noticed how the additions are more transparent than Link's form when in painted form, as if they weren't a part of him, or even just a temporary part of him, until he was forced out. (if they were temporary, him getting forced out made them permanent)
