Description
I am dedicating this piece to 2 friends of mine ~ they support my Classical Formalism Art - please click on their icons so you can visit their amazing galleries &
Thank You for your comments,
My work may not be reproduced, copied, edited, published, transmitted or uploaded in any way ~ all my work is copyrighted ~my name and the date I created each piece is in full view for you to see ~ then in some cases I have to use a lighter shade of the main color of the piece ~ this info is the same size as the visible info ~ the reason I do this is because the info would destroy the look of the pieces…
2009 - Classical Formalism - sub-group of Minimalism only much harder to make due to the guidelines I must follow - they are - geometric format - division of space - limited color palette - angles - lines & must be stripped down to only what is necessary - I call this stripping it to the bone - I was remaking some old MS Paint pieces & one was titled The Road Less Traveled plus had basically the same layout but the piece was terrible - my only option was to go with pure Classical Formalism & get rid of everything except the basic layout concept - I changed the level where the one point perspective began & went from there - this is not even close to the original MS Paint piece due to how I divided the space plus the shapes I achieved with line - here is how I meet the demands - I used a white horizontal geometric format - I also used a limited non-color palette which is white, a light shade of gray & black lines which meets this demand - next I used perspective in order to create eleven angular shapes which meets the demand for angles - these shapes help divide the space within the piece - I then used lined to divide the space in each angular area of the piece - this meets the demand for line - once again all the angular shapes & lines meet the demand for division of space - I then used a light gray for the right & left side perspective areas - when I did this I created an actual room like environment - the floor is white & leads upwards to where all the angles meet - all of this creates what looks like the inside of a glass place of worship - I strongly feel this is a place to move towards the full enlightenment of ones soul - the reason why is the arrow like shapes which point upwards to the sky - hence the title “The Road Less Traveled” - I then placed a wider black contour line around the edges of the piece in order to give it a clean & finished presentation - I then chose a clean font for my name & the year I made this piece - I filled this info with black & placed it on the bottom right side of the white floor like area - I have completely taken this piece down to its bones - all you see are lines - angles & 2 perspective gray areas - this is a very clean & pristine piece which contains no clutter - I have met all the demands in order for this to be a true Classical Formalism Piece

Even though this image is so delicate - subtle lines - it's also very strong and powerful. Perfect.
