Sometimes after their shifts are over for the day, Armin reads Annie poetry from one of the books in the library. Among her favorite things to do is listen to the sound of his voice, while feeling the slight vibration in his chest as he speaks when her head is on his shoulder.

“’She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies’ …. Annie? Are you listening?”

“Mmm? Yeah…”

“We can do something else if you’d like.”

“No… it’s okay… Keep reading… ‘And all that’s best–’”

“’And all that’s best of dark and bright
Meet in her aspect and her eyes;
Thus mellowed to that tender light
Which heaven to gaudy day denies.’”
