Might seem a little strange given my interest in Pelligrain but snakes aren't really my cup of tea. Still, it does provide a simple reason for Claire's distressed expression.

That is interesting, I guess there's the potential of what the multi-limbed Pellagrian could do in any situation. Worst case scenario with the snake would be it eating her, very slowly, and I don't think I want to be drawing that sort of thing.
What do you think of the idea of giving Pellagrian a pair of legs in the centre of her tentacles? It would allow for her to become the damsel for a change. Leena gets revenge or some bigger bad could capture them all!

Yeah the anaconda snake chow scene never really appealed to me either.
As for Pellagrain, not sure how I feel about the legs. Overall I think I like her as is. Assuming she did have legs, even if they were tied, it would still leave all the tentacles to somehow restrain/immobilize. If you figure out a way to restrain them, what point would there be in having legs to restrain as well?
Anatomy wise, Pellagrain has been established to have control of tentacles for movement, wrapping/holding things, and... well usual tentacle monster function shall we say for D.A. Thinking about it, I suppose it could be that while she has good crude control over them, absolute fine control might well be beyond her (i.e. while her nervous system has control of the muscle movements to move and hold down a victim while she ties them up, she might not have fine control like writing with a pen or painting a picture). As such, if she were ever to end up knocked out (allowing her muscles to relax) she could wake up in trouble if her tentacles had been tied into knots while she was unconscious.
In other restraint terms, there's always various thoughts on either stasis fields, vac-beds/boxes, mummification, or glue.
As for the thought of Leena capturing her or something bigger and badder capturing all of them, it has some potential.
