personality; Saeko is a woman who is relatively quiet, looking away whenever talking to someone. She always rubs her arm whenever she does something bad like drop a plate, she’s overly apologetic and wishes to stop her habit. She relatively hates herself, which is especially apparent why during Chapter 6 when the mastermind reveals that she is Junko Enoshima which drives her to a sobbing fit. Saeko tries her best to be confident with the help of her friends, but this dwindles with every student killed during the 6 chapters of the killing game. At the end, she’s a depressed loner who simply wants to gain confidence and hope that she can fight for herself.

She copes with this depression by drawing characters for pieces of fiction that don’t exist yet or ever will, she finds this ultimately relaxing and pretty fun in the long run. After Chapter 3, she finally gets the hope she needs in order to become a better person.
