I totally agree with you! 
But except when Gohan was a kid, I didn't see Goku caring much about his kids or who anyone else..... He always runs away from family responsibilities to fight around.... I think the person he cares about most is Vegeta for being just his fighting partner... That's why I thought Goku will only worry about any children when the fight is over... sad.
