I HATE my scanner. ok, so this picture looks completely ruined and i will probably obsess over it until i upload a version i like. i SWEAR the original looks 100% percent better
i need a new scanner...
so this was basically an impulse to draw this out of my own bordem. i wanted to see how fast i could do a portrait. this took a little under an hour. i was speed coloring!
hope you like it despite the horrible quality.
(i may add a background, if i have the time and energy ^^)

I would love to play as one of the turks on there! And the FF7 fans dont really know much
about the each individual turk or not even that much of Rufus for that matter.
They do deserve more than what they got as far as screentime!

yes! Square decided to make the turk game (Before Crisis) as a cell phone game, although it only works on certain kinds of cell phones. "-.-

Yeah, the turks are vary mysterious, which and so slick and cool which makes them such great characters!
They should make a new version of it or something, like on Playstation or something, mabe even PSP!

they aren't? i tried coloring a gackt pic once..didn't look like Gackt at all.. I guess coloring pencils horrify me much. lol

i was very intimidated too but you really have to start slow with colored pencils. its not a fast medium...unfortunately.

i didn't think he was that hard. he has very light features, almost feminine. concentrate on the eyes...they really make the character

well, he has bright green eyes so i use really light colors, it makes it look like they're glowing ^^

I love the interaction. We can't help what scanners do to our artwork. I would suggest playing with the settings a bit on GIMP to see if you can't "fix" what you think is wrong digitally. Personally I think it's fantastic just as it is. The shading, figure, and the sphere are beautifully done - I can't believe you did it in an hour!

scanners are difficult, no doubt about it. the colors are so much more vivid and less textured in person so that is what's bothering me. i will try to work with it a little.
