Very detailed line art. Very good balance in colors; there is excellent harmony. The arrow piercing both doves is what captures my attention the most. I can guess what symbolism there is in this but there is room for individual interpretation. Very good organization of elements just like in a flower arrangement. And nothing is there for no reason.
For me, this depicts a journey into this woman's soul. She's thinking in a lost love? Or perhaps her soul is bound to someone else's? But she's in thought.
You can stare at this forever and find another meaning.
Great work!

A few people have asked me this and I'm not sure quite yet how it works but I'll announce it if you can order decks online. I also have no clue about pricing of the decks or official prints but I'll let everyone know as soon as I do Thanks for the interest!

The linework is so delicate, and what really drew me to this were the colors. I get the sense there's a deeper meaning behind this composition, and I'm curious what it is.

Thank you so much for such a lovely and intricate comment, I really appreciate it! I didn't have much of a plan for the meaning initially but now that I've thought about it, I get the feeling it's a girl having a revelation that love is not what she thought it was- it is heartbreaking, painful, and, like all good things, must end. Her idea of love was "shot out of the sky" ...well, that might be a bit too depressing
Β
I'm curious if you thought something else?Β

Oh, of course! ^v^
I do see how that comes across, as dead birds do tend to connote that sort of meaning. What do I see? Um, hm...I do see that she had hopes for something that were painfully lost, so I get the feeling of loss. The flowers are alive and have a complementary color to the green, so they're more vivid...so I also get the feeling that despite the loss, there's still potential for warmth and growth again. Like the flowers will one day grow over the pain, so while it's still there, she's grown through it. I might be getting a little out there at this point, but plants to tend to thrive over decomposed creatures, so maybe she grows even more because of the loss. Like I said, maybe that last part is a bit much. XD
All in all, it's a piece worth looking over more than once.

Forgive this incredibly late reply, but I truly appreciate you sharing your thoughts and giving me new insight into my own work. I absolutely love your perspective. In fact, I included some concepts you shared in the information about this piece for the gallery showing and accompanying booklet. You have a much more uplifting perspective than I originally came up with and loved the cycle and growth you saw. So thank you for taking the time to share your interpretation with me!

Like her head is..., well, not in the clouds but in the woods. Meaning the forest and ist inhabitants are on her mind, like a part of her and she is a part of it all!
