I like how suggested the colours are. They don't realistically reflect how the colours would look but really capture the feeling of the light reflecting off their face. Sometimes that can be a lot more emotive than strict realism.

That's an interesting point! i remember seeing a lot of amazing artworks that use very unnatural colors, some even use very harsh neon colors, yet they feel so real and carry a lot of emotion. You put it into words so well! Thank you!
