Introducing Astra and Elaris, the daughters of Spyro and Cynder.

Back Story:
After their victory over the evil Malefor, the corrupted purple dragon, Spyro and Cynder found themselves within the new realm of floating islands. But the dragon pair were never seen again. Survivors of the battle believe they had both fallen during Malefor’s defeat. But unknowingly the dragon couple had gone into hiding, when their love for each other was pronounced. Soon after, Cynder had laid a pair of eggs, giving them no choice but to settle far from others. As the two waited for their eggs to hatch in solitude, the time had come.

Elaris was born a darker shade of purple, and is able to control all the elemental breaths as well as the Dark Elemental breaths her mother controls. Just as the legendary purple dragons are known for, Spyro and Cynder suspected her to be the next generation purple dragon. Though it was still doubted with it being sooner than the normal time span each purple dragon is born. While she also has the power of the Aether element, she seems to have a stronger connection to the dark Aether. While at a young age the Dark Aether would spontaneously control her when in a negative mood. Concerning both her parents they chose to hide this ability from her.

Astra is a rare off spring between Spyro and Cynder. Known as the Aether Dragon, she is one of the most powerful species of dragon alive. Though she had no knowledge of her power until her teen years. Until her ability of the Convexity Breath was revealed, she believed to have no ability over any of the elemental breath or even the dark elements that her mother masters. With her Aether abilities she is able to detect living creatures nearby her, and determine wether or not they are a threat. With her connection to the spiritual energy of their realm, she also has the ability to make herself transparent. Her “Spectral Form” makes her unable to be harmed and even walk through solid objects.

With their new family beginning, Spyro and Cynder knew their daughter’s powers would be a great advantage to those who wished to use and corrupted them for their own evil purposes. And so, they remain in hiding. With their own abilities of Aether, the two separated a small group of floating islands far away from the coast. In the middle of the large stretching sea, far from any contact of their old friends and allies. Living a retired life after the defeat of their rival.

Just to simplify this, Spyro and Cynder both behind very strong dragons gave birth to this pair of hatchlings. One being an Aether Dragon, while the other is a Dark Aether dragon. Though they hid the dark Aether ability from her so she only has knowledge of the elemental breaths inherited from her mother and father. Aether is the strongest element above all others in the Floating Island Realms, with Cynder having a connection to the Dark Aether and Spyro’s natural ability with Aether as the purple dragon they were obviously going to have some strong offspring.
