- Janai ‘Ruzauk:
- Appearance: She has inherited a darker brown shade of skin, similar to that of her father. With darker brown streaks lining from her head down her back. She was born with unusually vibrant orange eyes.
- Age: 23 years old. She is of age to battle but was not able to join the ranks of the Covenant before their defeat against the humans and The Swords of Sangheilios.
- Height: she stands about 7 feet 6 inches. Average height for a female.
* Background: Janai is the middle sibling of the Sangheili sisters. She was exposed to the Essence during her time inside an incubation chamber for young fledglings, due to her egg being prematurely cracked open. In an effort to save her life and experiment their discovery she remained submerged in this liquid providing life support to her vital organs for several weeks. When it seemed the fledgling female would not gain consciousness, seconds before her father ordered her euthanized, she had awoken. Seeing this as a sign from their Forerunner Gods she soon began her training in combat. Janai had proven to be an excellent strategic fighter growing up, matching the skills needed to become a well abled fighter against the growing demons afflicting their people. Once of age, Janai was able to wield a Forerunner forged sword she had dubbed, “The Judge”. Crafted with unique shapes and symbols on the hilt, the long single blade burned a radiant orange. Made of a similar plasma energy the Sangheili currently use known as Energy Swords. But the energy within the blade was with greater power, for every energy blade that collided with the judge would immediately deactivate for a short time, rendering her opponents defenseless. She was also gifted the chest plate from the Forerunner armor left inside the Vault. Due to the Essence within her blood, the armor was bonded to the young warrior. While using the chest plate, Janai had discovered her ability of “Slip Phase”, similar to the ability used by the Promethean Soldiers, giving her the advantage of speed. Janai is the only one of her sisters exposed to the Essence that wields this power. But before she came of age to truly test her skills in real battle, disaster struck their home planet. Causing her to flee along with her younger sister T’Vani. Retreating to their great-uncle’s keep on Sangheilios, her training had continued as she saw to train her younger sister as well who had less experience. But as their training continued, Janai could see her sister’s betrayal. Her faith transforming to that of a heretic, disowning the Forerunners as their Gods and pursuing a path of peace as a pacifist. Enraged by her change of mind, Janai and their Great-Uncle had driven her out of the Keep. With her last blood relative exiled, she had grown tireless for a worthy battle. Learning of a faction still loyal to the traditional ways of her people, The Servants of Abiding Truth. Though unwilling to feel the pain of rejection due to her gender role traditionally do not hold martial ranking. At some point, she had learned about the Vault still standing after their home-world’s destruction. Sealed away, with no entry allowed without the “Key”. Learning of these treasures still locked away, she had discovered the small dagger with the same blade as her gifted sword, was the Key. And was with her exiled younger sibling. With this discovered she had discovered her sister’s departure from Sangheilios, onto a shield world that was impossible to locate on her own. Learning that the Servants of Abiding Truth had plans to locate this shield world, through a forerunner portal the past covenant leader Jul ‘Mdama, had escaped through while imprisoned on the world. With her Slip Phasing and Active camouflage she had easily stowed away on the large flag ship, Song of Wrath. Shadowing these Servants through the portal undetected, she had made herself known only to the current leader. The Pale Blade, otherwise known as Dural ‘Mdama. In exchange for the riches within the Vault, she requested aide by him and his servants to capture her younger sister. Proving herself in battle to those who rejected her proposal, Dural see her abilities as a blessing from the gods. With their agreement settled, she had also gained command over a few Promethean knights and soldiers to provide extra forces. These Prometheans never engaged Janai in battle, due to the Essence within her blood they had believed her to be a descendant of their once Forerunner masters. With a larger army at their disposal, Janai is promoted to Dural’s inner circle and even as his personal Assassin with her skills, assisting them with their onslaught of Onyx and recovery of her traitorous sister.
- Love Interest: Dural ‘Mdama, the eldest son of Jul ‘Mdama. While among his ranks the two developed a close bond in their quest to bring about destruction to the human/alien colony of Onyx.

- During the time when The Prophets still remained leaders of the Covenant. They had discovered a small barely habitable planet, with an atmosphere and environment mainly habitable for Sangheili. On this world, they discover a Forerunner Structure they had named, “The Vault”.
Originally, they had theorized the planet was home to one of the Forerunner gods, and the Vault had been gifts upon the prophets and covenant while on their Great Journey.
Inside this Vault contained mysterious artifacts. A full set of never before seen Forerunner armor, three different kind of weapons, and a mysterious vial with a unknown chemical referred to only as the “Essence”.

The planet was trusted with an older Sangheili shipmaster and previous honor Guard, Kova ‘Ruzauk. With the great honor of settling on the planet with his mate along with a large group of trusted warriors and scientists, they established Ruzauk Keep, Within their own settlement of Ruzauk. During their stay, there main objective was to test and study the effects of the serum. Which in turn they discovered Forerunner essence within the Serum as well as other unknown elements beyond their science and knowledge. With this, the prophets had developed a new plan, to expose worthy Sangheili within their ranks to the Serum. And if successful, they would use this Essence to create more powerful Elite soldiers to even the battlefield against what they referred to as “Demons”, otherwise known as Spartans from humanity’s line of defense the UNSC.
Rather than choose his highest ranking soldiers he had brought with him, after learning of his mate being with child. He had decided to use the serum on his own blood, experimenting the Essence effects on his species at different ages. Rather than give birth to a son as he anticipated, his first born daughter had become the first of the Sangheili to be exposed to the Essence. This would continue onto all his children, the eldest Kei’Za, his second Janai, and the youngest T’Vani.
