Looks like a female version of our old rabbit....
I do love the head back "Whaaaaat?" look they give us.

Popped open the refrigerator door, pulled open the crisper drawer, reached in and pulled out the food.
...and then growled and stamped when we caught him. "Open! ...Fix!"
(He never did quite get the concept of that we could hear him as well).

Wow! I know our rabbit has us trained. All she has to do is thump loudly and we know she wants a treat. Sheβs so completely spoiled!

He tried to drive the car once.
Seriously!
We were driving down to L.A. and he decided to get off his "perch" of the back seat shelf, and decided to see what mom was doing.
He hopped in her lap trying to figure out what she was doing. So she explained to him how the steering wheel worked.
The next thing we know, he's standing in her lap trying to push the steering wheel on the left with his paws, and then he leans over and tried it on the right.
Mom and I both freaked out.
But he wasn't strong enough to move the wheel, so he growled, and hopped back to his perch.
Yes, they're far more clever and spoiled then most think.
He also liked to "roll" mom off the couch when she fell asleep on it.
He'd hop onto the couch, and "burrow" between the back and mom, to roll her off the couch.
And he wouldn't stop until she fell off, and He was King of the Couch.
The he'd look down at her smug and "innocent" ...and then hop off, his job done.

No, Sadly he died a few years back.
At the rip old age of 10. (stroke).
He was a 'Giant Chinchilla' breed, so that's the usual age for them.
And yes, he was a handful.Β
Quite a diva.
And far smarter than most people claim.
(My grandmother found that out the hard way when she called him a 'Hassenpfeffer'.
--"hilarity" ensued.--)
Mom also "trained" him to hop on the bed and wake me with a aimed stinky fart every morning... (the second part was his own happy invention).
"Oh! You're up! Play time!"
(Thanks Mom!)Β Β

I'm still finding odd things that he chewed holes into.
(He died back in '92.)
But yes, ...I have nobody to talk to.
Well, "have intelligent conversation with" ...
Especially now.
