Oh, boo, Calvin. That pick-up line is so clichΓ©.
So, Natsume finally fixed the glitch in Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility that prevented players from marrying Calvin, the archeologist. If you don't know, the "Calvin glitch" was a game-breaking bug that caused the game to freeze in the mines if players pursuing Calvin as a love interest raised his heart level to 5 hearts or higher. If you send them your purchased glitched copy, they'll replace it with a corrected one. ^_^
Taking a cue from *straw-hat-luffette , I decided to draw them a little "Thank you" fan art card, which I put in with my game when I sent it in.
Drawn and inked by hand, and colored with markers (various brands). The background and accents were done with colored pencils. Text bubble and words in Photoshop. April 2009.
I used this photo as a reference for the body positions.

Thank you! Yes, I used some Copics, but also Prismacolors and Pantones. My marker collection generally consists of whatever brand happened to be on sale at the time I went to the store. ^_~

Helps that I haven't played that HM (yet?) and don't know it that well XD

Glitched game was fixed? Yeeeesss *does an "I did it!" Bomberman little jump*. Now when I buy it there won't be an ugly glitch to keep me from a hot guy.

Yep! Just make sure that you buy a newer new copy, and not an older new copy that's been on the shelves for a while. I'm pretty sure Natsume didn't have the originals recalled.

when you say replaced, does that mean in the glitch free one that someone receives, they have to start all over? or is your data somehow still there, but now you can just marry calvin no problem?

No, your save data is saved to the Wii itself, not the game disc. You should be able to continue from wherever you left off. ^_^

::waves:: Nah, it's a lot easier when using a reference. You're the one that can turn out awesome stories, one after the other, without any semblance of a loss in quality. There are no references for that. But, many thanks for the compliment! ^_^
Since you have a Wii, you're most of the way there. I recommend printing the Amazon page for ToT, taping it to the fridge, and writing on it in sharpie "My Birthday - [##-##-2009]". ^_~
