I never really thought cows are cute, but this one definitely changes my mind a bit. It has such beautiful, soulful eyes.

Yes! And it's even cuter in person because it's so little. I just wanted to cuddle her.

I love cows. I live right next to a bunch of farms.
Lovely picture.

Oooh. My dad grew up with lots of cows around. On cold mornings he used to tell us he and his brother would run around in the paddock and stand in all the cow pats to warm up their feet. (Ewww.)

Uh, wow. I guess that's country life for ya before electricity! My parents were city people, they grew up in Queens and Brooklyn. Country life is new to us. But I love cows. They look nice. And I love milk, so....

LOL. That was not pre-electricity! But heating isn't at all common here. Definitely it was country-life, though!

You try some city life for a while. You might begin to appreciate country life again, though I guess it depends on what kind of a person one is.

Haha. I've never really had either. I've really only lived in Aussie suburbs. I suppose when I lived with my dad and stepmother we were a bit more rural than the other suburbs, but still not proper bushies.
Where I live now is nice. It's not far to shops (there are three 'shopping centres' within about 40min walking distance -- two are small and one is not large but reasonable), public transport, and lots of other 'necessary'/useful businesses like healthcare facilities, childcare centres, schools and the like. On the other hand, small farm properties are also within walking distance!
I'd hate to live properly in the city or the country. The city has too much noise and things happening for me, and properly in the country would mean rubbish internet...

Where we live now, it's very countryish. We have houses around us, so it is somewhat of a suburb, and the mall is only about 15 minutes away, but wow, after 5 minutes from the mall, it's country again.
That's cool! The city where we live in is around 20 minutes from where we live, and Richmond, the head city (a huge city) is about an hour, so it's not bad. But it sounds nice where you live.
Haha, the city is a hit or miss really. There can be some great times had in the city. I would like to live there a bit, that would be awesome. Obviously for me, it would have to be NEw York. And if you get the right cable provider, country isn't too bad internet wise. You just have to watch out for man-eating creatures.

It's funny how it can work like that sometimes, isn't it?
Oh gosh, I definitely could not live in New York. Sometimes I struggle with the amount of people are my local shopping centre, dealing with a big city constantly would totally incapacitate me. My personal space bubble is about street-size.
(Remember, I'm in Australia -- we don't really have "the right cable provider" when it comes to the country, haha. Get rural enough and you have one choice -- or none. In lots of rural areas there is no high speed internet still at all!)

Haha, it is, right?
New York is something you have to get used to, but you can't be afraid. There isn't anything to be afraid of except a bad hot dog. Haha, but seriously, if you were thrust into the jungle of Manhattan, I'm sure you'd survive. It would take a few months, but you'd get used to it.
Ouch! Yeah, I guess that's the good thing about the US. There are 100 different internet provers, so you can always find at least ONE!

In the city suburbs/surrounds you're pretty okay for internet. Where I am there are a few options for high speed internet, but you don't have to go too far before your options get quite limited. It's probably worth noting too, that our "high speed internet" is much slower than what's available in America or even in the UK and Europe! We're on ADSL2+, which is one of the fastest available here, and speedtest.net says my speeds today are
download: 7.00mbps
upload: 0.71mbps
As for being thrust into the jungle of Manhattan -- I probably would survive, but I'd definitely need to increase my medication and probably therapy, lol, and being able to go out would definitely diminish. I've done a lot of work on my anxiety over the years, but bustling places still cause significant distress. Although a street-size personal bubble was a small exaggeration, I really do have a quite large one in general. On an average day, it extends about 30cm past my actual body -- and on a bad day, it can literally get to "if I can see you clearly and you're not in my list of safe people, you're too close to me".
Luckily, I'm quite poor so I'm never likely to find myself in a situation where full-blown city life is going to be a likelihood or issue.

Hmm, I'm not good with internet number, so I don't know how fast that is! Haha, but listen, sometimes I wish I had slow internet this way I wouldn't be on the computer all the time. It begins to dominate our lives....
No! You wouldn't need medication, you'd be fine. People are a little rough in New York, but the city itself will sharpen your edges. THe only thing you may need is some migraine pills at first, because the noise there never stops. Nor does the city sleep.
You're not missing too much from the city, so I wouldn't worry if I were you.

Hahahha, you'd think that but it doesn't happen that way. I live on my computer, almost - not as much at the moment as I have at some points in my life, but a great deal. Part of that's the convenience, but a bigger part is that it fills a lot of needs that aren't met in my life for various reasons!
Unfortunately I really would need medication -- my PTSD makes it hard for me to handle people in my "space" or a great deal of bustle. It wears me out physically and emotionally, and puts me on such a high state of alert that it really diminishes my quality of life. Because I don't have to deal with it a great deal in my current situation, I'm able to work around it, but if it was a constant thing it would definitely be a major problem!
Yeah, I'm not worried, I have no desire ever to live full in the city.

Mini-Moo! (cause Mini-Me scared me...creepy character!). Now, I am taking a guess that maybe you find full-size moos kinda scary? No worries. We are pretty much the ones that eat them...they prefer grass and other stuff. Hugs!

Yes! I'm not like, terrified of them or anything, but the miniature ones are just more my speed. I always get excited to see them.
(It's probably just because I'm so blasted short myself. I feel the same way about horses vs ponies.)

Nope, my research says selective breeding. Cows were originally much smaller than the ones we have today anyway!

Yupyup. I think we bred them bigger to feed more people.
