A gift for my friend Anna-IgnisDraconis of her character Hawisa as a ZOID

Translating someone elses character into a ZOID is tricky, you have to make a lot of hard decisions regarding what to adapt and what to cut. I made a version with markings much more similar to the original character design, but that did not look as good as I wanted it to. Also, the original design was quite scarred, but since ZOIDs are mechanical, it just felt weird to include the battle damage as its so easily repaired when it comes to a mechanical creature (hope you don't mind too much Anna).
Compared to the last ZOID I drew Hawisa's far more heavily armored, and because of that wasn't a complete over detailed nightmare to draw. She's mostly based around the König wolf and Gravity saix, but inspiration was also taken from the Lightning saix, Zaber fang, Gil Vader and Rayse tiger.

The Lightning Shadow is a medium armored and armed ZOID that's best used for taking out heavily armored ZOIDs with her lightning canon. The lightning canon, a mid range anti-ZOID weapon, is powered by the cheetah ZOID's large and powerful engine, it is primarily used to disable heavily armored ZOIDs as its shots ignore enemy armor. It cannot fire often, and during its cool down period the Lightning Shadow has to rely on her short range beam canons, and her fangs and claws, which are quite effective in their own right. The ZOIDs large engine also allows her to reach high speeds, combined with the Lightning Shadow's stealth systems, it creates a foe that's capable of striking at frightening speeds only to disappear again as if she was never there in the first place.
