Adurotri had been watching this village for a while now. She was sure that they would have noticed her by now. They had noticed her, in fact. But as she perched,listening, on a tree, not one of them believed the young boy that had seen her. "You must be loopy in the head" one man said "Ain't no man that has seen a phoenix god" Jeered another "That's because Phoenix's don't exist." Said the chief. "They're nothing but myths" And the Cheif's word was final.

Adurotri once appeared in the middle of village meeting, and was cawing tirelessly. But, the stubborn men ignored her warning. Minutes later, a wildfire tore through their land, forcing them seek refuge in the mountains. After that, they still ignored every sign the phoenix gave for natural disasters.

They didn't believe in the phoenix's godly powers.

One day, Adurotri flew up to the edge of the volcano. Summoning the power within her, her eyes glowed yellow. She looked down at the magma, and , opening her beak let out a golden beam into the magma, until all the magma was glowing. It glowed brighter and brighter until the volcano erupted.

Adurotri flew up into the sky and swirled around the island, watching the villagers slowly drop, one by one.

She was not proud of the deaths, but burdened by that fact that humans were losing faith in the Phoenixes.
