Description RoostClan
[ green border ]

  • The Lighthouse - Their most prominent landmark is situated at the edge of their territory, it had formerly been used as the Gathering place before the Gatherings were disbanded to bring disgrace to StarClan. A cause for dispute among CragClan and RoostClan every once in a while and had been the most prominent piece of territory fought over in the last Crag-RoostClan war. The paint has long since begun to peel and the wooden door is all but gone. This makes the trek inside the lighthouse dangerous as the iron stairs are weakened by the rain, and it is no laughing matter to cut open your pads along the steps. However, the roof seems fairly stable enough, the bulb having long gone out, and seagulls and eagles have begun to roost there. It is especially dangerous. However, CragClan apprentices seem to make it a common dare to trek across RoostClan territory and reach the top to retrieve feathers.
  • A Well - It's closed off, with rotting wooden planks resting atop it. However, it's likely that there's something interesting at the bottom.. if a cat dare be so foolish to check it out. Most cats leave it well alone. It's located near the edge of their territory by the cabin remains.
  • Remains of a Cabin - It's naught but a little bit of foundation left, but it suffices as a bracer against the wind. Vines have begun to grow along the sides but the younger apprentices are told off to leave the area alone, lest they prick their paws along the nails that remain there.
  • Little Stream - Many small, thinly spread streams that drag across the territory, splitting it effectively. It's their primary source of fresh water, and for TideClan as well, which has prompted them to form an alliance with them at the moment. They have a decent sized lake that is joined by small rivers and is deep enough for it to reach a cat's throat. It's not as large as Salty Creek
  • Salty Creek - Just below the CragClan and RoostClan border, they have
  • Dens/Camp - Unlike what most Crag- and TideClanners expect, they do not have their camp situated in the middle of a clearing - it is foolish business. Instead, with the thick trees as their cover, they have their dens nestled in the roots among trees. They use specific trees for this, those with thick roots and soft soil that could be made into tunnels and burrows for them to nest in. They often use the springy moss and features from their prey to adorn their nests - most cats are used to sharing extremely close quarters as most dens aren't very big. Most nests are pressed flush together, barely leaving a paws' space in between. It's not exactly comfortable either during the rainy season and they migrate higher in the trees if necessary. Some cats make their nests higher naturally but most do it along the roots. However, because some trees aren't optimal for dens, their dens are often more spaced out which isn't the best if their camp is invaded. Their fresh-kill pile is usually quite full as their territory is often filled with prey. They stock it in one of two owl burrows in opposite ends of camp, although it has to be changed regularly otherwise the prey will rot. They ensure that their piles are always full.

CragClan
[ red border ]

  • The Sunstone - The landmark that holds most historical significance to them, CragClan had been formed by cats who had been given the duty of guarding the stone. Now, without StarClan, it sits unused, embedded in a cave wall. The passageway is narrow and thin, with a low-loped ceiling and a smooth path underpass. However, crested by clefts and caves alike on either side, it's treated as a rite of passage to reach it with another warrior as proof of their skill.
  • Jagged Peaks - Dangerous stones at the edge of the cliffs, located primarily near the edge of their territory, at the water's edge. One cat is surely likely
  • Climbing Birch - Not exactly a birch tree, albeit very much a tree, it has taken root in the cliff and is all that remains in the aftermath of StarClan's wrath that devastated a chunk of their territory. It's sturdy and can hold a few cats, although very few want to test the full weight. However, it provides a perfect view of the ocean and of Jagged Peaks below.
  • Rushing River - A wide river that runs through their territory and cuts it cleanly in sections, it ensures that a portion of CragClan's territory is separated from the other Clans altogether save for a strip of land that allows for them to cross. The water isn't by any means dangerous, save for lightweight cats and those who don't know the basics of swimming. The most dangerous factor of crossing it is drowning, which dissuades cats from crossing it without more cats on the patrol. It's mostly consisting of saltwater rather than fresh so they take their freshwater from a lake within their territory. Fortunately, no dangerous predators - sharks or the smaller jellyfish - have made its way through the river.
  • Wooden Alcove - A boat is nestled against some rocks, evidently having crashed quite some time ago.
  • Dens/Camp -
    • The fresh-kill pile is located near the back of the innermost den, well protected from weather and moisture. However, most cats would notice every time you would reach for it. However, unlike RoostClan's tendency to hoard or TideClan's knack for keeping it alive, they keep theirs fresh. They send out a hunting patrol in the morning and are assigned to hunt for the whole of the Clan while others perform their duties. If cats are still hungry afterwards, they are free to hunt for themselves. This is a tradition started due to the lack of prey they initially had, and they would like to preserve as much as they can without wasting. As such, hunters are highly respected in the Clan. Their camp cave is located secretly with only one general known entrance that the other Clans know of. It is a fairly large cave with smaller, branching caves within. Some of the dens have emergency exits but not all.

TideClan
[ blue border ]

  • Pier -
    • Old Crab Cages - Primarily used by the medicine cats, they are hooked to the pier. Amazingly, the chains haven't seemed to have started to rust yet, despite it being constantly in the water. They're made out of two leg metal, so it takes a careful paw to open and close them. It's rare for apprentices to be given the task of opening them. Herbs can be carefully stored inside, but only if they're water-resistant, which most of the TideClan herbs are. This also ensures their longevity. In the spare and much larger cages, they keep fish in there for when they can't catch it any other time. Specific apprentices are trained to use some old netting to catch more fish and to ensure they don't escape. Most TideClanners eat fresh every day because of this.
  • Old Beach Cabin - Primarily used for seclusion, it's a fairly large cabin that TideClan has little use for. It's not quite rotting yet, but it's old and has a musky smell. It's raised on high planks to ensure that no water seeps inside. The entirety of the Clan can fit in there if their camp is flooded, which is common during the rainy season. However, the main focus is for privacy or to keep the sick inside, such as during the latest TideClan crisis.
  • Island Chain - Short spots of land dot along the sealine, normally visible most of the day and enables a cat to trod along them. The end of the chain of sand leads to the Reef
  • Dens/Camp - The ocean tide tucks in a bit closer to the clefts there - the tide is lower there, yes, but it doesn't mean that all TideClanners get scott-free where getting wet is concerned. They have a decent sized cave pressed into the cliffside, with a thick overhang that prevents [most] water from seeping in. There is a small network of caves inside, although the fact remains that it is rather more of a dug out area than the rest of the cave than a true network. However, it is fairly small otherwise, so they elect only select ranks are allowed in - the leader, deputy, elders, and medicine cats. If the Clan is few in number, they do often house the warriors and apprentices as well. However, if not, they usually camp outside on the beach. Thankfully, they get few nightstorms.
