The sleek tom glanced over at the she-cat, taking note of the irritation that was rolling off of her. She almost smelled like it, even. He blinked calmly at her, his eyes a milky blue as he contemplated answering that. "No, not really," he huffed after a moment, rolling his eyes to glance in the opposite direction, opening his mouth to scent the air and was quickly angered at the fact that the other medicine cats were late again. With a small huff he grimaced as the other she-cat flicked her tail along his flank. "I swear, if you touch me again I will - "

"Gouge out my eyes and stuff my tail down my throat, that's nice, but you're not listening," she whined. The pale tabby snorted in response and settled himself beside the water's edge. "Jayfeather, you could at least ... acknowledge me, or something."

"Acknowledge you?" the ThunderClanner barked out before shaking his head. "Great StarClan, you are one mousebrained RiverClanner." He stopped his laughter slowly and glanced down where he presumed the Moonpool was. "You're moodier than a she-cat whose expecting." He curled his tail, lashing it before glancing harshly over at her, as if this time, he was truly looking at her.

Willowshine froze, just staring at him for a few moments before slowly, cautiously, creeping forward. Her slender frame was pressed against Jayfeather's as she simply drank in his scent of oak trees. "Heh, I guess." They said nothing then for a moment, just accepting the other's company as the RiverClanner glanced shyly at him. "You know you -"

"Are really grumpy, yes, I get that a lot. Is there anything else on your mind that I should know about? No, wait, let me guess, what fish tastes awful with grass." He grumbled and narrowed his eyes at her, his ghostly eyes never leaving her face, sending shivers down her spine. She opened her mouth to retort before closing her mouth, thinking better of it. She simply curled her tail and glanced away.

"That's not what I was going to say, and you know it," she meowed after a few moments. The RiverClan she-cat did not say anything after a few moments but eventually closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh. Moving her paws forward, she dipped them into the water and simply let it wash over her, melting away her thoughts and curing her of her nervousness. "Jayfeather, I -"

"You can never shut up can you?" he interjected and she paused for a few moments, opening her eyes to glance at him, a frown spraying across her features. Her whiskers her twitching and it was all that she could do to simply stare at him. "Augh, fine, just - whatever you're going to say, say it already. Great StarClan, and you shout at me for not listening when here I am listening and you won't even -"

He moved away from her, keeping his distance and not even bothering to glance back over at her as he made his way to the opposite end of the Moonpool.

"Is something going on here?" a light brown tabby she-cat meowed as she stepped towards the Moonpool, the other medicine cats flanking both sides of her.

Jayfeather did not glance at Willowshine as he spoke, "No, Leafpool, nothing is going on. Nothing at all. Let's just get this over and done with."
