It's sseems to me that it's about Goku, since he's the main hero in the majority of the storylines and has the majority of the focus on him.
Vegeta typically is the guy who gets the storylines to happen. Without him, the Freeza saga wouldn't have happened, the Cell saga would have ended prematurely without him allowing Cell to absorb 18, and the Buu saga wouldn't have really happened at all without him becoming Majin Vegeta.Β
While it does follow Gohan growing up, he really isn't the main character. While he often plays a central part, he's just not the focus of the series.Β

Oh yeah! That makes sense, like Dragon Ball is about Goku's adventures, 2/3 of Dragon Ball Z is about Gohan's, then lastly Goku's comes back from the last third of the series.

Everyone knows it's Goku. Although, I think it SHOULD'VE been Gohan. It makes sense. Up till Frieza, it was Goku's adventures in adulthood. From Cell onward(minus GT) it was about Gohan growing up(till the end of Buu Saga)

Actually, of the three main villains, Goku only killed Buu. Frieza was killed by Future Trunks, and Cell was killed by Gohan.
