Disgusted? wow, he must be blind!
Lizards (or reptiles in general) must be one of the coolest critters on Earth!

Thanks! ^^

He even got upset with me when I started taking pictures of a littler green and brown lizard D;

But it's okay opposites attract right?

I think lizards are cool, but I'm kind of afraid to touch them just because I don't know if they'll bite....

And no problem!

Hahah, aww, that's too bad!
Yeah, some can be nippy, but if they're small, it never hurts. It's a bigger chance they'll drop their tail if you get too close.

Yeah I'm just scared just because I don't know what lizard I'm normally wanting to touch and like--I've never seen lizards in the wild until I came here when I was 17, so yeah, I don't know if they can be poisonous or not.

Though I've never seen a lizard drop it's tail before, I even remember my brother picking up a lizard and scaring all of my husband's brother and sisters that he would make them touch it.

Ohh, you live in Israel? That's so awesome! I'd die to explore the wildlife around there!! There's some really bad ass lizards and snakes around the Middle East-area. Ohh, I wanna go sooo bad...
Don't worry about poisonous lizards, there are only 2 species existing in the world, one in Southern USA, and one in Mexico. The only real damage lizards can do to you, is to bite you. And I'm guessing most of them are too small to leave much of a mark. I'm pretty sure you won't be jumping after lizards who are longer than 80cm, and in that case you are pretty safe.

Some lizards drop their tale, and most geckos do.

Here's a site with lots of photos of Israeli reptiles. Have a look! [link]

Actually I don't live in Israel per-say, I live in the Palestinian Territories but of course they didn't have that in the option box, so Israel was the next best thing.

Yeah there are a lot of lizards here, I think one time I woke up and found a lizard in my room and in the bathroom.

Oh! And my husband has seen Chameleons before, he says he sees them a lot here too along with snakes.

Ohhh, I see!

Haha, yeah, you probably have a lot of house-geckos as well. They're nice critters, they'll eat any bug or spider inside your house, so take good care of them. ^_^ I wish I lived in a country where we had free geckos. :/

Chameleons are freaking awesome!

I think that would be why there was a little gecko in my room, in the summer bugs and spiders easily come into the room, plus being inside is very cool compared to the sun so I wouldn't be surprised if they just came in to cool off. But then again there are hundreds of huge boulders all around the house that seem to be out of this world ;o

hehe, yeah. ^_^ during the night, they usually stay around the light-bulbs outside, all the bugs are drawn to it, so it makes a neat buffet for the geckos!
It's so fun to see how animals adapt around the lives of humans.
