Inspired by The Gleaners (Des glaneuses) is an oil painting , by Jean-François Millet completed in 1857 .

It depicts three peasant women gleaning a field of stray stalks of wheat after the harvest. In 1891, the painting was donated to the Louvre .[4]

It now resides in the Musée d'Orsay in Paris .

[4] Micro Hydro is a type of hydroelectric power that typically produces from 5 kW to 100 kW of electricity using the natural flow of water. Installations below 5 kW are called pico hydro .[1]

I can’t help but wonder if the 20th and 19th Centuries were the time to “go big, or go home”, if the future doesn’t belong to micro-hydro, small scale wind farms, individual buildings with solar boilers, PV cells, and HRVs.
While some emerging economies have opted to try to best the west, with ginormous power projects; maybe micro-adaptations would be cheaper and easier to implement, with cumulative benefits, to power generation, and energy conservation:
Like the tiny, feathers that saved theropods , from going extinct, while sauropods , who opted to go bigger, didn’t survive.
Just a thought…
