Description
Yokai Spirit
This is my second version of LimboTheLost ’s Line Art Yew Urn .
My first was, Xi .
---------------------
Before colouring Line Art, it’s my usual practice not to read the descriptions, except for the rights, or Terms of Use.
This has led to some unintentional blunders, when the Line Artist had a particular character in mind; but, also some unexpected surprises.
---------------------
LimboTheLost , in the description, says that the Line Art for Yew Urn is intended to portray a spirit, a Yokai , from Japanese folklore , inhabiting the porcelain.
My first impression was that the person was meditating and levitating above the vase.
I’ve read a few collections of Japanese folklore . And, LimboTheLost seems right, that supernatural beings often turn out to be mischievous, or even malicious, towards to humans.
But, obviously this vase is much loved; and, the cracks have been repaired with gold; so, hopefully she will look kindly, even with some indulgence, on her human hosts.
Heavens knows, we need all the help we can get.

Notes: Yokai:
Yokai are supernatural beings Japanese folklore .
The word yōkai is made up of the kanji for "bewitching, attractive" and "spectre; apparition, mystery.[1]
They can also be called ayakashi , mononoke , or mamono.
Yōkai can be malevolent, mischievous, or even benevolent.
To generalize, a spirit, or "mononoke ", resides in everything.[5]
These spirits might be peaceful, a nigi-mitama that brought good fortune;
Or, negative, an ara-mitama that might invoke an illness, or a poor harvest, if it cannot be appeased or reconciled.

Notes: Kintsugi [Golden Joinery, or Repair]:
Kintsugi, or "Golden Joinery", or Kintsukuroi, or “Golden Repair",[1] is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with lacquer dusted or mixed with powdered gold , silver , or platinum , a method similar to the maki-e technique.[2] [3] [4]
The philosophy treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object, rather than something to disguise.[5]
Kintsugi relates to the philosophy of wabi-sabi , which embraces flaws and imperfect.[10] [11]
[Heaven knows we’re all flawed, and full of cracks.]

Notes: Shōji
Shōji , in traditional Japanese architecture , is a door, window or room divider made of translucent paper over a frame of wood which holds together a lattice of wood or bamboo .
While washi is the traditional paper, shōji may be made of paper made by modern manufacturing processes
-----------------------------------
Notes: Washi
Washi is paper first made in Japan , using fibers from the bark of the gampi tree, the mitsumata shrub, paper mulberry , or bamboo , hemp , rice , and wheat .
The word "washi" comes from wa 'Japanese' and shi 'paper', and is used to describe paper made by hand in the traditional manner.[1]
As a Japanese craft it registered as a UNESCO intangible cultural heritage .[2]
Washi is generally tougher than ordinary paper made from wood pulp

[They say, as stewards of the earth they offer a chemical free cemetery.
It’s nice to know there’s somewhere I could go, and be welcome without chemicals, eventually.]
It’s nice to think of having somewhere to go home to.

I hope I don’t come back to haunt my drawing tablet. I spend so much time with it. It must have picked up a fair bit of psionic energy.
